Look Who's...

...been rappeling (Parque Los Yarumos, Manizales).

This is the scary bit, the first step. Going from 0 to 90 degrees south. It's a good thing you can't see the look of terror on my face.

Getting there. Long legs help.

Wet, cold, muddy but lovin it. Oooh, almost home.

This was the first waterfall we went down. The second one was double in length, double fun and not half as scary as the first time.

Can't wait to do this again.

I've done that too! Did a rock climbing course in boarding school. Rappeling was the fun part I thought (I loved it, used to swing from side to side and all..and the view is lovely!) but getting to the top wasn't so much fun!

Ah, rapelling. Nice. Now you should step up and try Torrentismo! (Basically the same as rapelling, but through the middle of a really big waterfall, not the pissy little waterfall in your photo.)
Head up to San Gil, Santander. 20,000 pesos to abseil down an 80m big-arse waterfall, and some spectacular views too. Transport from your hotel included :)
